Tourism is a productive economical sector of the world,
especially when a state bears tremendous natural sights. Those
countries that are not blessed with the true flavors of nature go
for alternative options. The development of healthcare tourism is
one such alternative which earns some countries great foreign
exchange.
One of the major reasons to choose Turkey in place of US is
that the authorities of United States have not shown interest in
developing health tourism. US is one of the leading countries of the
world. It has more to worry and look upon to than to establish a
firm healthcare tourism. On the other hand, Turkey is free from the
complexity of world politics and is keen to develop an efficient
network of medical tourism.
The cost of acquiring medical services in US is relatively
higher than that in Turkey. One of the key reasons for the success
of health tourism in Turkey is the factor of affordability. In the
more developed countries like United States, the concerned
authorities gain less profit and therefore the prices of medical
services is fairly high.
Moving towards the political aspect of this topic, after the
September 11 attacks, the people of Central Asia, Middle East and
Subcontinent migrated back to their homes. All these were originally
obtaining health care services, but were forced to come back.
Turkey
is now considered as a safe and reliable option to acquire medical
facilities. This is the main reason for the dramatic increase in the
healthcare tourism, in Turkey. It must be emphasized here that
Turkish people should not take everything for granted. They have to
realize that they need to advertise and promote good things about
their culture, facilities, and historical buildings, in order to
attract more tourists.
According to some reports, in 2012, the expected income of
health tourism will increase to as high as 140 %. This remarkable
figure indicates the growing importance of this sector of economy
and the increasing need of people to get medical attention. Turkey
is gaining rapid fame for the affordable rates of all kinds of
medical services. Even the sensitive open heart operation costs not
more than 3000 to 5000 dollars compared to 70,000 dollars in USA.
This justifies for the increasing influx of tourists in Turkey. The
Turkish doctors believe in treatment only. They are not concerned
with making huge sums of money. Due to this dedication, healthcare
tourism is picking up an incredible amount of fame off late. Though,
the treatment charges in Turkey are economical, but it does not mean
that quality treatment is not provided. People from all around the
globe praise the technological advancements made in Turkey. Modern
machinery is employed for work along with experience doctors to
operate them.
A person requires best quality medical treatment, which is
not, only effective and reliable, but affordable as well.
Fortunately, Turkish medical centers have all of these ingredients.
Hence, I would prefer to visit Turkey, instead of US, for medical
treatment.
