The Cesme Sea and Music Festival has been around
since 1989 and is sponsored by the Culture and Tourism Ministry, the
city of Cesme and many other worthy groups including several Turkish
media sources.
The Festival runs during the last week of June or the
first week of July. The Festival is a musical celebration of the
Turkish culture, world music, and includes swimming races in the
sea, fashion shows, cocktail parties, classic Turkish cuisine, as
well as music concerts.
There is also an international song contest
pitting the best from around the world for first prize and bragging
rights. |
