How to get to the Town of Manavgat
The one that maintains the connection of Manavgat town with other
places in the province of Antalya is only through a road. There are
bus companies that maintain the transportation around the provinces

Manavgat Waterfalls
The Manavgat Waterfalls is situated about 3 km. north of town of
Manavgat. It composes a priceless panoramic view with its wide area
flow aside from the fact that it is falling from an amazing height.
There are picnic grounds where you can stay just near the waterfalls
and you can also eat foods from the restaurants that are surrounding
the area.
Side Museum
The remains of Hamam, an antique agora in the midst of 5th to 6th
century A. D., are restored during 1960-1961 and changed it into a
museum. The museum exhibits the findings of the excavations that
were done in 1947 until 1967 in the antique city of Side. The things
that come from the Roman, Hellenistic and Byzantium Period are the
gun relieves, inscriptions, statues, tombs, torsos, portraits,
amphorae, ostotexes, altars, stalls, column pedestals and column
heads were also shown in the exhibit.
Antique Cities such as:
Side
Side, is an ancient settlement center located at about 7 km. away
from Manavgat. It is founded during 1405 A. D. At the end of 215 A.
D., Side city improved under the supervision of the Kingdom of Syria
and made it into a science and cultural center. Then it is passed on
to the Byzantium sovereignty after the reign of the Roman Empire
during 78 B. C. Side also serves as a Bishop center during the
course of 5th and 6th centuries.
"Nymphaeum", Anatolia’s biggest historical fountain, could also be
found here. . You can also pass the Agora, which is the bazaar place
of the city, when you have reached the monumental structure after
the theater that passes through a street. You can also see a
Gymnasium that is surrounded by porticos on the agora’s south side.
The importance of the theater in the city of Side is the
construction of arched places rather than a slope that the other
roman theaters used.
Selge
Selge is an ancient mountain city situated near the Kopru Stream or
Eurymdon, which is about 35 km. to the north of Serik. Engraved
rocks covered the entire slope of the mountain and a very good
resemblance of the Fairy Chimneys at Goreme which really is a
breath-taking sight to see.
The city of Selge, originally belongs to Psidia. After it has been
taken into the territories of Pampheylia, Lydia, Persia, Alexander
the Great and Roman governments, had took over to reign. Located at
the north of the ramparts are the monuments of Artemis and Zeus as
well as the city’s necropolis.
Seleukia
Seleukia is an antique city founded by Selevkos. It is located about
23 km. northeast of Side. The city is ornamented with pine forests.
From the city, you can behold the plains and the sea as well. The
city of Seleukia consists of a basilica, two-storey agora, cistern
and sewerage which symbolize the development of the city. Some
mosaics were also exhibited nowadays in the Museum of Antalya.
Etenna
Etenna, has an Acropolis that is composed of terraces and surrounded
by walls. This place is preserved in the city’s highest slopes. On
the southern part of the city, you can find here a Herron, which is
a burial place for high-ranking persons.
