Since ancient eras, stressful times or difficult times are part of human experiences. This is proven by history books and students of world history. Modern technology offers a lot of ways to enjoy life in the middle of stressful times or hard times. Listen to the radio, watch television shows, playing games on the computer or chatting online. However, there is one ancient way of entertainment that is still better than the offers of modern technology. That ancient way is, enjoying the beauty of the beach. When people talk about the Middle East, where most Arabic nations are situated, where great ancient civilizations emerged like the Sumerian civilization, the Babylonian, Persian, the classical Greek, and the Ottoman, people imagine it as desert place.

 
   
      
 

Surprisingly, one of the beautiful beaches in the world is found in a country located in the Middle East. That beach is the Iztuzu beach. It is located in Turkey. Specifically, it is in Dalyan, a place in Mugla province of Turkey, in the town of Ortaca.

Iztuzu beach is a long beach about 6 kilometers long. Furthermore, it is one of the beaches in the world where there are turtle beaches. Sea turtles is a tourist attraction however, it is already in the category of endangered species. Environmentalists emphasize the following factors for decreasing the turtle beaches population. A female sea turtle lay eggs only from 70 to 150 eggs.

There are people who eat sea turtle meat or egg, and some people claim that sea turtle meat and egg can be use as medicine. Their shells are also use to make combs. Their fats are use for cosmetic purposes. Since Turkish environmentalists observed that sea turtles are comfortable in Iztuzu beach environment, these environmentalists strengthened the campaign since 1990s to preserve the sea turtle species using Iztuzu beach as primary breeding ground. Turtle beach is also known as loggerhead or sea turtles. Its scientific name is Caretta caretta.

Turtle beaches require beach having soft sand and little light only, ehivh str the features of Iztuzu beach. Aside from watching turtle beaches, Iztuzu beach is also a good beach to enjoy boating. This beach is recommended as well for those who love to play with the sand such as building sand castles because it is a sandy beach. Another encouraging reason to visit and enjoy Iztuzu beach is, the snacks that are prepared by local women along the area. Swimming on the sea water, appreciating its salty taste, or swimming on fresh water can also be done, because Iztuzu beach is situated between a sea and a river. Watching the sunset is another way to enjoy in Iztuzu beach. Daters or honeymooners will surely enjoy spending time at Iztuzu beach. For artists like painters, writers or musicians who are looking for inspiration, Iztuzu beach is certainly helpful. Changing facilities and toilets are available as well in Iztuzu beach. If the meal from the local women along the beach is not enough, a café is ready for more meals and drinks to offer. Hence, the chance to enjoy Turkish soups, dishes, Turkish coffee and Turkish tea will not be lost.

Lamb is a famous Turkish food. Another dish that the Turks present to their visitors is called Kebab, a kind of dish that can be plain meat or marinated; which can be stewed or grilled. A traditional Turkish wine is called Raki, which is a classic Turkish beverage that is still surviving for centuries.

Turkey also has her own kinds of desserts. An example is, Halvah or Helva, a sweet dessert from semolina, which is served in formal occasions such as in birthdays, induction to an army, return from pilgrimage, graduation in school and in other special celebrations.
