Izmir International Festival runs from mid-June
until mid-July. It is a grand celebration of music. The Festival has
been organized by Izmir Culture, Art, and Education Foundation since
1986. The Festival brings together the greatest musicians in the
world all in one place along with just about every type of music for
classic to rock to jazz an everything in between.
Each year the
Festival gets bigger and bigger. In 1994 the Izmir European jazz
Festival was started and included in the Izmir International
Festival. The Festival is also became part of European Festivals
Association in 2003.
