One of the oldest mosques of the region is the Hizirbey Mosque which
is located in Kirklareli constructed in the year 1383. The complex
of the mosque also has bazar.
The architecture of the Sokollu Mosque is one of the finest Sinan
architecture. It was constructed in 1570 and it is located in
Luleburgaz. Another Sinan work is the Cedid Ali Pasa Mosque that is
located in Babaeski.
The Mahmut Bey Mosque located in Kastamonu is also quite amazing it
is architecture. The Izzet Pasa Mosque located in Safranbolu is also
worth visiting. The mosque also has a library. It was constructed in
the 18th century. The Koprulu Mosque which was built in the 17th
century, the Kacak Lutfiye Mosque built in the 19th century and the
Dagdelen Mosque built in the 18th century should also be visited.
The Atabey Mosque built in 13th century and the Ibni Neccar Mosque
that was built in the 14th century are the mosques located in
Kastamonu.
Bafra which is a town famous for tobacco hosts a mosque which is
also an educational complex. It was built in the 15th century.
If you want to see the Turkish architectural mosques then for that
you can visit the Pazar Mosque (built in the 14th century) and the
Buyuk Mosque built in the 19th century. Another must see place is
the Gokceli Mosque located in Carsamba. It is entirely made from
wood. No metal nails are used for its construction. It was built in
1176. Its beauty is what attracts many people to explore it.
There are many churches in Trabzon that have been converted into
mosques. The faith mosques and the Yeni Cuma Mosque are two of the
converted mosques. An Ottoman style mosque that also has a tea
garden is the Gulbahar Hatun Mosque.
Ulu Mosque in Bayburt is also one of the mosques that are a must to
visit. The Islam Pasha Mosque in Rize can also be visited. It was
constructed in the 16th century. These are a few of the many mosques
that are located in the Black Sea Region. They sure promote tourism
