Turkey is a great place to windsurf, there are
certain areas that are just ideal for this adventurous and airborne
sport. The bays are perfect for windsurfing and there are several

Turkey has
the Cesme Peninsula where the Aegean Sea floats its baby blue, clear
waters and the wind is fine for windsurfing freestyle. The
surrounding landscape is lush with artichokes, aniseed, and sesame
in the fields and gun and fig trees abound. The Bodrum and Datca
peninsulas are also big windsurfing areas in Turkey. Windsurfing is
popular too in Antalya, which is a prime holiday resort area on the
Mediterranean. The summertime in these areas was made for
windsurfing.

On the west side of the bay at the Mistral Centre there are
facilities such as shower and a snack bar, plus a nice shaded area.

There is a kite and windsurf freestyle competition held annually in
Turkey during June and July. It is held at the Alacatı Bay near me. The competition is called
